I’m guessing you might want the short version.

Originally born in South Africa, I’m now a Canadian journalist.
I spend my time oscillating between an overwhelming sense of awe for this existence whilst routinely taking dips into a sadness that ripples along the undercurrent of my being.
Wow! That sounded dramatic but, if you have depression too, you’ll know exactly what I mean.
You can find out more about my struggle by reading this blog post.
The term “The Happy Mrs Jones” is a bit of an oxymoron because, as someone who battles depression, happiness is something I work very hard to find.
I am very often pregnant with pain, but choose to give birth to work that is hopeful in its brokenness. Sometimes I do and sometimes I just can’t.
Most times I am somewhere in the middle and that’s okay too.
One thing I am profoundly thankful for is my husband (yes, THE Mr. Jones haha) and the life he’s worked hard to give us in Singapore. In a world of imitations, he is the genuine thing.
If you feel a little bit lost in this world. If you question your purpose but still find the ordinary interesting, then maybe this is the place for you. Maybe we can help each other figure things out a little bit at a time.
Thanks for being here with me,
